Attend, Assist: title in my head that I had to write down as soon as I got into the apartment. Something about one’s duty to not simply show up, but to act. When I was first studying Spanish, I remember being struck by the chiasmus between these two words and their similarity but opposite meaning to words in English: attender means to assist; assistir means to attend.
